Is Nopad for people with ADHD?
Our app is for anyone struggling to get control over their focus and screen time, which can be especially helpful for those with ADHD. Our founder created this app to help with his own diagnosis, but we stand firm that our app is not a medical device, tool, or treatment. It's an app anyone can benefit from.
What happens to a task I don't finish?
It rolls to tomorrow automatically, marked as carried over. Nothing is deleted and nothing turns red. The day starts where the last one stopped.
How does app blocking work?
It's built on Apple's Screen Time framework, so the shield is enforced by iOS rather than by Nopad. You choose which apps to lock and which tasks unlock them, and none of your usage data ever leaves the phone.
Is this a treatment for ADHD?
No. Nopad is a productivity app, not a medical device, and it doesn't diagnose or treat anything. It removes one specific obstacle, the apps engineered to capture your attention, so more of your focus lands where you aim it.
Can I unlock apps one at a time?
Yes. Finish a task and you can unlock the apps tied to it for a few minutes, or keep the shield up until the whole list is done. You choose which apps each task controls, and you can change the pattern any day.
Does Nopad sync my data?
No. Your tasks, categories, and history live only on your phone, in the same secure storage iOS uses for the app and its widgets. Nothing is uploaded, and we never see your list.
What is Nopad?
Nopad is an iPhone focus app that combines one calm daily task list with a Screen Time–based app blocker. You finish tasks to unlock the apps you chose to block. It is built for people who want fewer guilt mechanics and more control over where their attention goes.
Does Nopad work on iPad or Mac?
Nopad is iPhone-only today. It requires iOS 17 or later. There is no iPad, Mac, or Android version.
Is Nopad free?
Nopad is free to download on the App Store. Nopad Pro is an optional subscription with a free trial for advanced features. Pricing is shown in the App Store before you subscribe.
How is Nopad different from other screen time blockers?
Most blockers focus on schedules or hard limits. Nopad ties blocking to your daily task list: apps stay locked until you finish the work you said mattered. Tasks roll forward instead of turning red, and you can unlock apps per task or hold the shield until the full list is done. Data stays on your phone with no account required.
Does Nopad require an account?
Nopad requires an Apple iCloud account to download it from the App Store. That same account is used to manage your subscription through your iCloud account. Apple handles your login, not Nopad.
What iOS version does Nopad need?
Nopad requires iOS 17.0 or later on iPhone. Screen Time permissions are required for app blocking.
Is Nopad an app blocker for iPhone?
Yes. Nopad uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to block the apps you choose. Blocking is tied to your daily to-do list: apps stay locked until you finish the tasks you assigned, or you can unlock per task for a short window.
How is Nopad different from Opal?
Opal focuses on screen time limits, schedules, and focus sessions. Nopad combines a daily task list with blocking: you finish tasks to unlock apps, with carried-over tasks instead of red overdue piles. Nopad is iPhone-only with local-only data and no account. See the comparison page.
Can I block apps until my to-do list is done?
Yes. That is Nopad's core loop. Pick distracting apps, assign them to tasks, and the Screen Time shield stays up until the full list is finished—or unlock apps one task at a time if you prefer.
